Food Snacks Invented By The U.S. Military Are Always In My Gear
Food snacks invented by the U.S. military are always in my gear. I am constantly on the go, always moving, and I honestly sometimes lose track of how old my ’emergency’ snack food is. I once bit into a protein bar that turned out to be a year past its shelf date. That’s when I decided to start using military snacks and rations because they last longer than my purses, sports bags, and backpacks.
If I’m not out mystery shopping with my purse, I’m zipping between the many yoga studios I teach at throughout the week, and on my rare days off, I’m in the woods with a fanny pack or small backpack with emergency essentials.
In all these cases, I never know when I might get hungry. My metabolism is so high and erratic that I sometimes go hours without eating and then I’m starving beyond belief. Thus, military food snacks that are designed to keep service men and women active in their duties (and possibly combat) are great at keeping me going throughout my insanely busy life, whether it’s in town, in the park, or in the woods.
